Artikler om hvordan børn lærer og udvikler sig ved at tage del i aktiviteter i sociale fællesskaber som familien, blandt jævnaldrende, i skoleklassen og i daginstitutionen. Der fokuseres på børnenes perspektiv. Undersøgelserne er inspireret af Vygotskijs udviklingsteori samt af barndomssociologi.
